NFL – Miami Dolphins: Will Tyreek Hill have to end his career after his serious injury?

Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill will be out for a long time due to a serious knee injury. Now he is commenting on the subject of ending his career.

At the end of September, Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill suffered a serious knee injury in a game against the New York Jets, which ended his season. However, the wide receiver is still unsure whether this will also mean the end of his NFL career.

On the podcast hosted by Terron Armstead, Hill’s former teammate with the Dolphins, the 31-year-old said he would address the decision when the time was right. For now, however, he is focusing on recovering from the surgery he underwent a few weeks ago.

During the surgery, severe damage to his left knee was repaired, including a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament.

“Ultimately, this decision depends on how I feel and where I am mentally right now,” Hill said of his future. “I’m happy with my career so far. I love playing football. I love it, but it takes a lot of energy. It takes a lot of mental and physical strength.“

He continued: ”I’m at a point now where I need to talk to my mom, my family, everyone. Wherever my thoughts are at that point, the decision will be made, but I know that right now I haven’t had time to enjoy the moment.” His contract runs until 2026.

By the way: In addition to his own future, Hill has also commented on the current extremely precarious situation at his franchise. He said that “everyone has something to say” when a team has a 1-6 record. Everyone is sitting on the “hot seat.”

“It’s a difficult situation. When we were winning, everything was fine. People could say whatever they wanted, and it was just ignored,” said the receiver, who went on to defend the much-criticized quarterback Tua Tagovailoa: “I’m going to support Tua no matter what’s going on with him because he’s my brother.”
