NFL – Las Vegas Raiders: Tom Brady joining? League boss Goodell confident

Tom Brady’s move to the Las Vegas Raiders is still up for debate. And the league’s approval is still missing. On the sidelines of the annual owners’ meeting, NFL boss Roger Goodell is now confident

It’s no secret that Tom Brady wants to become a shareholder in the Las Vegas Raiders. However, the planned investment now seems to be developing into a seemingly never-ending topic.

Last May, the former star quarterback and the franchise already reached an agreement. What is missing is the approval of the other owners.

They are currently discussing relevant league issues at the “Annual League Meeting” in Orlando. There has recently been speculation that the decision on Brady’s potential involvement could still be delayed.

When asked about the project, NFL boss Roger Goodell appeared confident. He told “ESPN” on the sidelines of the meeting: “I wouldn’t say it’s a delay.”

On the contrary, it is a very thorough process. “We have been in contact with their side. I think there is progress,” Goodell continued.

A majority vote of at least 24 NFL owners is required for the league’s approval. “ESPN” claims to have learned that there will be no vote this week on Brady and the Raiders’ plan.

The next meeting is scheduled for the end of May.
