NFL – Kansas City Chiefs: Xavier Worthy fights back against his ex-fiancée

Xavier Worthy fights back: The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver is now suing his ex-fiancée.

After the accusation of domestic violence, the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver fights back: He has sued his accuser, according to “TMZ”.

In the lawsuit, Worthy explains that his ex-fiancée Tia Jones both abused him and made allegations of domestic violence in order to extort “a house, money, cars and other valuables” from him.

The NFL star apparently found out that she had cheated on him during their relationship. He then “repeatedly” asked her to leave the apartment, and he even offered to help her find an apartment to give her time to “get back on her feet.”

However, the situation escalated. On March 7, she apparently destroyed his playroom, scratched his face and pulled out his hair. Then she filed a complaint against him for physical abuse.

But the whole thing was not over yet, because as Worthy accuses, Jones “stole or destroyed personal property and cash worth over $150,000 from the apartment” when he was in police custody.

In his lawsuit, he also emphasized that his credibility and reputation have also been damaged.

Worthy was initially arrested after the incident on March 7, but released the following day. The district attorney still did not press charges after speaking with several witnesses.

Instead, Jones obtained a protective order against Worthy in mid-March.

Worthy is suing for over $250,000 in damages.

The Chiefs have not commented on the incident

The Chiefs have not yet commented on the case. In his rookie season, Worthy caught 59 passes for 638 yards and six touchdowns. He also rushed the ball 20 times for an additional 104 yards and three touchdowns.

He lost the Super Bowl with the Chiefs against the Philadelphia Eagles, but caught all eight passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns in the game.
