The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver is facing more trouble surrounding the serious traffic accident in Dallas. According to Dallas police, 10.8 grams of marijuana were found in the Lamborghini Rice was driving.

Through his lawyer, Rice announced on Wednesday that he was one of the drivers involved in the accident. The Super Bowl winner had previously handed himself in to the police – and apologized to the victims of the accident.

The police had been looking for Rice in connection with the accident on Saturday evening in Dallas. On Wednesday, Rice made his first statement on social media – in which he admitted his involvement in the accident after video footage of the accident had previously become public.

“Today I met with Dallas Police investigators regarding Saturday’s accident,” Rice wrote: “I take full responsibility for my role in this matter and will continue to cooperate with authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone affected by Saturday’s accident.”

According to the police, a Corvette was involved in a street race with a Lamborghini. This resulted in an accident on the North Central Expressway at around 6:20 p.m. on Saturday evening with a total of six vehicles involved.

Through his attorney, Rice has now revealed that he was the driver of the Lamborghini.

According to the police report, Rice and the driver of the Corvette fled the scene of the accident.

Victims of the accident allegedly caused by Rice have made serious allegations against the NFL star. Reports cite a mother named Kayla Quinn, who was involved in the accident with her four-year-old son and who complained about the alleged lack of compassion shown by the football star, who fled the scene of the accident.
