The Cleveland Browns quarterback is again facing serious allegations against Deshaun Watson: According to a lawsuit filed in Houston on Monday, a woman has accused the quarterback of raping her.

According to the indictment, the woman, who only goes by the alias “Jane Doe”, was on a date with the then Houston Texans player at her private residence in October 2020 when the sexual assault allegedly took place.

Watson had already arrived at the date in an aggressive mood because he had not found Doe’s apartment. He later allegedly forced her to massage his bottom first. When she refused, he is said to have raped her.

The alleged victim is said to have struggled to free herself and drive Watson out of the apartment.

These are even more serious allegations than the more than 20 complaints against Watson that were filed in 2021. At that time, numerous women who worked as masseuses for Watson had accused him of sexual harassment.

Watson was suspended for eleven games following his move from the Texans to the Browns in March 2022 as a result of the allegations. He had previously reached an out-of-court agreement with the majority of the plaintiffs to settle the lawsuits.

If the latest allegations against Watson are substantiated, he could possibly face renewed trouble with the NFL in addition to criminal prosecution. His contract with the Browns runs up to and including the 2026 season and earns him a fully guaranteed 230 million dollars.
