The quarterback worries for the Cleveland Browns don’t stop. After weak performances by Deshaun Watson in the current NFL season, the quarterback probably seriously injured himself against the Cincinnati Bengals in week 7.
The Cleveland Browns may have to do without quarterback Deshaun Watson for the rest of the 2024 NFL season.
With the score 0-7, the quarterback went down without any contact just before the end of the second quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals, remained on the ground and buried his face in the ground.
It appears Deshaun Watson popped his Achilles.

Watson, who finished the game with 128 passing yards (no touchdown, no interception), had to be taken off the field in the medical cart afterwards.
Of course, there was no diagnosis a few minutes after the incident, but a suspected Achilles tendon rupture is an obvious possibility. On TV images, the injury looked pretty much the same as the one that Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered last season.
Kevin Stefanski also confirmed the fear after the game. “Let’s wait for the tests, but that’s what it looks like,” the Browns’ head coach was quoted as saying by The Athletic when asked if the injury would mean the end of the season.
