NFL – Cincinnati Bengals and Trey Hendrickson: Is a happy ending in sight?

Are the Cincinnati Bengals and Trey Hendrickson finally getting closer? The pass rusher is still on strike.

Is a happy ending in sight for the Cincinnati Bengals? According to ESPN, the franchise and Trey Hendrickson have resumed talks about the pass rusher’s future.

Recently, there has been a chill between the two parties. Hendrickson and the team have been in a complicated situation for months, with Hendrickson wanting more money for a contract extension.

He enters the final year of his contract in 2025 and currently earns $16 million.

However, the Bengals are apparently not willing to meet the financial demands of Hendrickson, who has been one of the NFL’s best pass rushers in recent years.

They had extended the contracts of receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins and increased their salaries. Hendrickson was angry, but the franchise remained firm. Recently, there were even mutual accusations, including in public, and Hendrickson stayed away from training activities, most recently the minicamp.

However, according to ESPN, there is now cautious optimism that both sides can find a satisfactory solution.
