NFL: Buffalo Bills use the same play 29 times against Pittsburgh Steelers

The Buffalo Bills won convincingly against the Pittsburgh Steelers. But that’s not all: as an amateur analyst on social media has now pointed out, the Bills used the same play over and over again.

“They kicked our butts on every level. I have no words for what happened.”

Pass rusher T.J. Watt ruthlessly analyzed the Pittsburgh Steelers’ crushing 7-26 defeat against the Buffalo Bills.

Particularly problematic: the Bills racked up a total of 249 rushing yards. That’s an NFL record for away teams at Acrisure Stadium.

Running back James Cook alone shone with 144 yards. However, the Bills didn’t have to be particularly creative to achieve this.

NFL: Bills use the same play 29 times

According to the “X” account “Film Watchers,” offensive coordinator Joe Brady called the same play a whopping 29 times. “I’ve never seen anything like this in my life,” the video analysis states.

The Bills line up in a tight single-back formation, with quarterback Josh Allen under center and a running back behind him, while the receivers are close to the offensive line.

Logically, it is not exactly the same play; small adjustments are always made to the formation and direction. However, the basis of the running play remains the same every time.

The Steelers ultimately lost the game by 19 points, and star quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ offense was booed by their own fans.
