NFL: Browns Quarterback Shedeur Sanders Graduates

Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders celebrates a major personal achievement off the field.

Ahead of his second NFL season, Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders celebrated an achievement off the field.

On Saturday, the playmaker returned to the University of Colorado Boulder to attend the commencement ceremony and receive his degree in sociology.

In a video posted on social media by the Colorado Buffaloes, Sanders appeared alongside countless other graduates. “What’s up? We’re at graduation. That’s what you call excellence, man. That’s excellence,” the 24-year-old can be heard saying.

Shedeur Sanders imitates his father Deion

Sanders, son of Buffaloes head coach and NFL legend Deion Sanders, also recreated one of his father’s most iconic images. Before Super Bowl XXIX, Deion Sanders was pictured watching game footage—with his 49ers jersey spread out on the floor in front of him.

Sanders Jr. has now recreated that moment in his own unique way. Shirtless, the quarterback looks down at his graduation gown and cap.

Sanders was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 144th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Ahead of the new season, he is competing with Deshaun Watson for the starting quarterback position.
