NFL – After serious allegations: Isaiah Buggs set to return

Isaiah Buggs is set to return to the NFL. The defensive tackle made headlines after being accused of animal cruelty and domestic violence.

Last summer, the Kansas City Chiefs released Isaiah Buggs after he was charged with animal cruelty and later also with domestic violence.

Since then, the defensive tackle has not played a game in the NFL. However, he is now set to make a comeback after the charges were dropped.

Buggs’ lawyer, Greg Gambril, commented on the matter in a statement: “The charges of dog cruelty filed against Isaiah Buggs in May 2024 have been dismissed with immediate effect at the request of the Tuscaloosa County District Attorney’s Office.”

Comeback: Where will Buggs end up?

Now the 28-year-old wants to make his comeback in the NFL. Buggs was a free agent last season. The Chiefs had only signed him in January 2024, and in February of the same year, he signed a reserve contract in Kansas City.

Before that, the defensive lineman played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Detroit Lions. Now Buggs is looking for a new franchise. “I’m looking forward to continuing my career,” he said in a statement.
