New York Jets: Aaron Rodgers missing minicamp – juicy criticism from Julian Edelman

Aaron Rodgers is missing from New York Jets minicamp. For ex-Patriots star Julian Edelman, this is an absurdity

Clear criticism of Aaron Rodgers from Julian Edelman. The longtime New England Patriots receiver said during an appearance on “The Herd” show with Colin Cowherd that the quarterback superstar’s absence from the New York Jets’ mandatory minicamp is a “bad look.”

“I don’t think it looks good when your leader, for whatever reason, misses mandatory minicamp,” Edelman explained. “I was with Tom Brady in his 25th or 23rd year, and he started missing OTAs (Organized Team Activities, ed.) here and there, but he never missed the mandatory minicamp. I just think that paints a bad picture.”

He even expressed the suspicion that Rodgers’ teammates might question his leadership qualities. Especially considering how important these training sessions are for the development of team chemistry.

“I’m a big Aaron Rodgers fan, but if I was in that locker room and Aaron Rodgers hadn’t shown up to mandatory minicamp for three days, had only played four snaps after an injury, even though they have two new receivers, a bunch of new lineman added to the team – and that’s with a collective bargaining agreement that doesn’t allow us to practice much, I guarantee there’s six, seven, eight, nine guys sitting in that locker room saying, ‘Where is he?'”

Rodgers had missed several days of minicamp, calling his absence “unexcused.” The Jets did not give a reason. However, “SportsNet New York” reported that the four-time NFL MVP did not want the reason for his absence to be known for “security reasons”.

The Daily Mail recently reported that A-Rod is on an ayahuasca retreat. In recent years, the playmaker had repeatedly reported on his consumption of the plant brew, which contains the hallucinogenic drug DMT.

Rodgers was traded from the Packers to New York before last season. On the very first drive of the first Jets game, he tore his Achilles tendon and his season was over.
