Mike Vrabel, head coach of the New England Patriots, causes laughter with a rather curious comparison to the trade deadline.

At a New England Patriots press conference, head coach Mike Vrabel caused a stir with a curious statement.

The 50-year-old compared trades on deadline day in the NFL to a possible pregnancy.

“Trades are like pregnancy. Either you’re pregnant or you’re not,” Vrabel replied when asked if the Patriots were close to a trade on deadline day: “So I don’t know how close you could be.”

Vrabel: “We worked hard and did our research”

“I know that everyone worked hard, that we researched, looked into things, made phone calls, and did what personnel departments do,” Vrabel said.

“And in the end, we decided to keep going and continue with our preparation.”

Things are going well for the six-time Super Bowl champions anyway. With a 7-2 record, the Patriots are at the top of the AFC East.
