Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is rebuked by his head coach Bill Belichick during practice. The playmaker subsequently takes the blame
The New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers used the past few days to prepare together for the upcoming NFL season. During one of the sessions, US reporters present noticed Patriots quarterback Mac Jones being reprimanded by head coach Bill Belichick.
The playmaker has now played down the matter, but acknowledged that he deserved his head coach’s criticism because of his own actions.
For instance, the signal caller said Belichick was not pleased with the Pats’ offence’s inability to get the ball into the end zone in two minutes. As a result, Jones was told by Belichick to try again.
“We scored on a field goal in the two-minute drive, and then we just wanted to try it again,” the quarterback said, “We just played through the situation again. That was fun, but it was my fault.” He continued, “It was just a miscommunication between all of us. It was a good learning experience. “
Accordingly, the Patriots had “repeated a situation” that the team had “just practiced.” “That’s what we need, for both teams to get the situation, practice it and then repeat it to get it right,” Jones continued.
Belichick has not always been pleased with his young playmaker in the past. So far, he has not named him the starting quarterback for the upcoming season.
