New England Patriots – Bill Belichick: One night not enough as appreciation for Tom Brady.

Tom Brady will be honoured by the New England Patriots on 10 September around their home game against the Philadelphia Eagles. For coach Bill Belichick, that’s not nearly enough.

The New England Patriots will duly honour quarterback legend Tom Brady in the first home game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles. Brady had played for the Patriots from 2000 to 2019 inclusive and won the Super Bowl six times with the franchise.

One person who is particularly looking forward to the special evening in Foxboro is Head Coach Bill Belichick.

On Sept. 10, the once congenial coach-quarterback duo that defined an era with the Patriots and in the NFL will reunite with the Pats for the first time since Brady’s departure in the 2020 offseason.

“I’ve talked to Tom a couple of times. I always look forward to seeing Tom. It’s been a great experience and opportunity for me to coach Tom,” Belichick said Monday on “The Greg Hill Show. “

He is very grateful to Brady for all he has done for him, for the team, said Belichick, who expects his one-time playmaker to continue to succeed in his second career after his final retirement in February.

Brady return “causes a lot of excitement “

“He’s a pretty talented guy. I’m sure he’ll do well in whatever field he chooses,” Belichick said. What’s striking is that there has been no sign of alleged interpersonal problems between Belichick and Brady for some time; from a distance, the two speak of each other with high regard. Brady countered the rumours of disagreements in June on “ESPN” by saying that his relationship with Belichick “has been and always will be positive”.

Belichick, meanwhile, is convinced that the Brady farewell will be commensurate with the 46-year-old’s merits. “I’m sure the game will generate a lot of excitement in the stands, as it should,” the 71-year-old said.

Brady has done a lot for the franchise, the city, the National Football League, Belichick said. “One night is probably really not enough, not nearly enough for the appreciation that Tom deserves,” Belichick said.
