Turmoil in Boston: Offensive assistant Joe Judge is causing turmoil with strange statements, putting some New England Patriots players on alert

Munich – According to a report in the Boston Sports Journal, the New England Patriots are currently in turmoil regarding their new coaching staff.

“I’ve heard from countless people – including Patriots players – that they’re alarmed in Boston right now and don’t know what direction the ‘Pats’ offence is going in,” said US sports reporter Greg Bedard.

Players doubt assistant coach Judge

More specifically, players on the Patriots’ roster were arguably baffled by offensive assistant Joe Judge’s strange statements.

Among other things, Judge reportedly told reporters that he will work closely with quarterback Mac Jones and wants to help him develop. He also spoke at length about how every offensive coach needs to be able to coach every skill position.

Does Judge take himself too seriously?

Judge, who was fired as head coach of the New York Giants last season, has now returned to the Patriots, where he had worked with Bill Belichick for eight years.

So what has some players on alert is the fact that Judge is making these statements while not even being the offensive coordinator in New England.

Players lack clear direction

Actually, he is responsible for the Patriots’ special teams and wide receivers. The Pats have yet to appoint an offensive coordinator following the departure of Josh McDaniels to the Las Vegas Raiders.

These statements by Judge are causing concern for some New England players and some are doubting Belichick’s return – in part because the 40-year-old Judge has failed in New York.

Bedard said of Judge’s statements, “A lot of people in the NFL heard what he said and subsequently wondered what he was talking about as well. That’s why there’s a lot of concern about what’s going on with Patriots coaches right now. “
