The Tennessee Titans from the NFL professional football league continue to struggle with corona infections. Various US media reported that two additional players tested positive for corona on Thursday. In total, the Titans have had 24 cases since the first positive test was reported on September 24. It is not yet certain whether the game on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills can take place as planned.
In addition, the NFL and the NFLPA are investigating whether the Titans may have violated any regulations. The team’s training ground is closed, but players are said to have trained illegally. It was not clear at first whether the recent infections are connected to this.
Last Sunday’s match against the Pittsburgh Steelers had already been cancelled and postponed to October 25. If the Buffalo game cannot take place, the NFL will have to find an alternate date in the already tight calendar.
Recently, several teams, including the New England Patriots, had informed about Corona Falls. Cam Newton, star quarterback of the Patriots, tested as positive as cornerback Stephon Gilmore.
