London Game: Lots of Tucker and a touchdown – Ravens defeat Titans

In the last London Game of the 2023 NFL season, the Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens met. In the game, it was mainly the kickers who were allowed to let off steam

The long preparation in London paid off for the Baltimore Ravens. Head coach John Harbaugh’s team won their last game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season 24-16 (18-3) against the Tennessee Titans.

While Justin Tucker was flawless on six field goal attempts, his extra point attempt was blocked by Denico Autry. The previous touchdown was scored by Zay Flowers after a ten-yard pass from Lamar Jackson.

For the Titans, only Derrick Henry reached the end zone – after a run of 15 yards. Nick Folk also scored three field goals.

Before this drive, Jackson had an interception against Sean Murphy-Bunting. Otherwise, the Baltimore playmaker put up decent numbers on the turf: 223 passing yards (21/30) for a touchdown and 62 rushing yards.

His counterpart Ryan Tannehill only threw for 76 yards with a passing rate of 50 percent (8/16) and also had an interception by Geno Stone. In the final quarter, the veteran had to hand over to Malik Willis due to an ankle injury, who completed four of his five passes for 74 yards but no score.

More than 100 total yards by Henry

While Henry rushed for 97 yards on twelve carries and caught two balls for 16 yards, on the other side Odell Beckham Jr. finished with 34 yards on two catches. The Ravens’ most successful pass receiver was Mark Andrews with 69 yards.

Baltimore thus improved its record to 4-2 and takes over the place in the sun in the AFC North, at least for the time being, while Tennessee stands at 2-4 and remains at the bottom of the AFC South.

While the Titans are now off for their bye week, the Ravens have a home game against the Detroit Lions next Sunday.
