Recently, there had been speculation as to whether Travis Kelce might retire. However, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is now apparently planning another Super Bowl run.
The bitter 22:40 defeat in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles should not be Travis Kelce’s last NFL game.
The partner of pop superstar Taylor Swift had asked for time to think immediately after the Super Bowl defeat, and a career end did not seem out of the question.
Now the wind seems to have changed: Brett Veach, the Chiefs’ general manager, said on Tuesday at the Scouting Combine that the 35-year-old is highly motivated to continue playing in the NFL.
“We said he’d be back, and we look forward to getting him back,” Veach said.
Chiefs GM Brett Veach said at the Combine that TE Travis Kelce is “fired up” about entering the final year of his contract and playing.
“We left it as, he’d be back and we’re excited to get him back and get him going.”
