In the end, District Judge Charles H. McKenzie opted for a three-year sentence, and the former coach was also taken directly into custody.

A total of six people, including Reid, were injured in the accident on 4 February 2021. “No prison sentence will ever be sufficient to punish the defendant for the pain and suffering he has caused this family and for the ongoing difficulties Arielwill have to endure for the rest of her life,” said their mother.
