Kansas City Chiefs: Chris Jones raves about Jalen Hurts’ Super Bowl performance.

Although he won the Super Bowl against Jalen Hurts, Chris Jones raves about the 25-year-old’s performance in the final game.

Chris Jones, defensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs, has praised Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts for his performance in the Super Bowl.

Hurts, he said, had the best performance in a Super Bowl he had ever seen from a quarterback.

“He ran with the ball, he threw the ball. He was just outstanding,” the 29-year-old said.

Hurts had thrown for 304 yards and a touchdown in the playoff finale. On top of that, he had 70 rushing yards on 15 attempts including three visits to the end zone.

In the annual ranking of the NFL’s top 100 players, Hurts finished third while Jones was ranked tenth.

Jones facing final contract year

While Hurts got a new high-dollar, five-year, $255 million max contract from the Eagles, Jones is currently on strike for a new and improved working paper.

The defensive tackle is facing the final year of his current contract, which could pay him as much as $20 million.

Already over a million dollars in fines

The 29-year-old has so far failed to report to Chiefs training camp and has already accumulated over a million dollars in fines as a result.

Kansas City general manager Brett Veach has ruled out a trade of the superstar, however, and has stressed his intention to keep Jones with the franchise until his career ends
