The Jacksonville Jaguars look like sure losers midway through the second quarter. But then Trevor Lawrence turns it up a notch after a messed up start.
With a sensational comeback, the Jacksonville Jaguars have made it into the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs.
Head coach Doug Pederson’s team turned a 27-0 deficit into a 31-30 (7-27) win to join the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers in the last eight.
The Jaguars will then play the winner of the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens game in the Divisional Round on Sunday night from 2:15 a.m. live on ProSieben and in the livestream, the Buffalo Bills or the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence experienced a true rollercoaster ride. Midway through the second quarter, he threw his fourth interception – and then turned the game around with four touchdown passes. In addition, he converted a two-point conversion with a quarterback sneak.
In all, Lawrence totaled 288 yards on 28 of 47 passing, 4 touchdowns and four interceptions.
For the Chargers, quarterback Justin Herbert scored only one touchdown and completed 25 of his 43 passes.
After squandering a clear lead, head coach Brandon Staley, who had already been criticised before, might be even more worried about his job.
