Urban Meyer, head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, has denied rumours about his team allegedly falling out. He is threatening a potential mole with immediate dismissal.
Munich/Jacksonville – Last Saturday, rumours became public that Head Coach Urban Meyer of the Jacksonville Jaguars had a heated argument with wide receiver Marvin Jones after publicly criticising him. To that end, Meyer allegedly called his assistant coaches “losers” and questioned their work in a team meeting, reports NFL Network.
Meyer had this to say about it after Sunday’s 20-0 loss to the Tennessee Titans: “That’s nonsense. I haven’t dealt with what anybody is supposed to have said. We’re trying to improve our offense and get our quarterback in a position to win games. That’s our focus right now.”
Meyer elaborated that he had great respect for his assistant coaches and a fantastic relationship with wide receiver Marvin Jones and they talked normally. However, he threatened a potential mole with summary dismissal if any further information from the team was leaked. “If there is a mole, then that mole is out of a job, and within seconds,” Meyer said.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently in last place in the NFC South after 14 games with a record of 2-11.
