Jacksonville Jaguars: Doug Pederson apparently soon to be united with son Josh

In the NFL, it is very likely that there will soon be a father-son team-up with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Josh Pederson is apparently joining the team where his father is head coach

It would be a special story of the upcoming NFL season.

When the Jacksonville Jaguars face the Indianapolis Colts in the season opener on September 10, father and son could be in action for the Jags – father Doug Pederson coaching on the sidelines, and his son Josh on the field.

As the Houston Gamblers announced from the newly formed USFL, their player Josh Pederson has been released to join an NFL team.

Pederson hints at new team

While the Gamblers did not share which team it was. But Pederson himself gave a clear indication. The tight end liked a tweet reporting his trade to the Jaguars.

Pederson had previously coached with the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs, but has never played in a regular-season NFL game.

For the Gamblers, Pederson was second on the team in that category this past season with 24 catches for 325 yards.

His father Doug has coached the Jaguars since the start of 2022 and led them to the Divisional Game last NFL season, where they fell to the eventual Super Bowl winner Kansas City Chiefs.
