That Cam Netwon would become the new quarterback of the New England Patriots was clear for days. Now the Patriots have finally made the official announcement. In a hype video, they also made their fans really want to see the successor to Tom Brady.
Everybody in and around Foxborough has known for days that the New England Patriots had indeed signed Cam Newton as successor of quarterback Tom Brady. Now, in the night to Thursday, the Patriots have finally officially announced the deal. And how!
The franchise dedicated five tweets to their new quarterback. In the first one, the Patriots post in line with Newton’s idiosyncratic writing style in the social media “ŁĒTŠgøPÄTŠ, Welcome to New England, Cam Newton”, plus a photomontage with the former Panthers quarterback in the Patriots jersey.

This is followed by further tweets about his possible influence on the offensive as well as his social commitment. And of course – as it should be – a proper hype video, which has it all:

Newton has signed a strongly performance-based one-year contract with the Patriots, which guarantees the 31-year-old just $550,000 and can earn a maximum of $7.5 million.
