Houston Texans: Deshaun Watson continues to cause trouble – lawyers request documents

Even though he is no longer under contract with the Houston Texans, the franchise continues to have to deal with the problems of former quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Munich – After the spectacular trade of Deshaun Watson to the Cleveland Browns, the Houston Texans must continue to deal with the sexual harassment allegations against the former playmaker.

Because even if no criminal charges are brought, the 22 civil lawsuits against the 26-year-old are still pending – and they are slowly entering the hot phase. Before the case reaches a verdict or an out-of-court settlement, which experts say is more likely, the plaintiffs’ lawyers are leaving no stone unturned.

Deshaun Watson: Houston Texans could get involved

As reported by the local Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper, the Texans must turn over all documents to the court related to the ex-quarterback’s booked massages. The court is also expected to look into the extent to which payments were made to Watson for massages.

A court is currently reviewing whether the Texans have to comply with the demands.

“I don’t know exactly why, but I think they want to keep dragging the Texans into it,” Watson’s attorney Rusty Hardin said, “I don’t think it has much of an impact anymore. But since they have nothing to do with it, I don’t know exactly what’s going to happen,” he concluded.
