Derek Wolfe shocks with paralysis confession from time with Denver Broncos – ‘Couldn’t move’

Ex-NFL star Derek Wolfe has caused a stir with a confession about temporary paralysis suffered during his time with the Denver Broncos and the questionable treatment he received from team doctors.

Former defensive star Derek Wolfe has caused a stir with a shocking confession about his active career.

Speaking as a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the 33-year-old explained that he was back on the field for the Denver Broncos in an NFL game just two weeks after suffering temporary paralysis.

The 2016 Super Bowl winner suffered a spinal cord contusion in the 2013 preseason game against the the Seattle Seahawks, but the franchise’s team doctors told him he could fly back to Denver on the team plane without worry.

“I couldn’t move. But the team doctors said I was fine,” Wolfe criticized.

Further, the defensive end, who retired from his active career in 2022, confessed that he regularly abused drugs during his career in the NFL.

Wolfe emphasised that he often took microdoses of mushrooms and Adderall before games. The latter is a stimulant drug that is prescribed in the US for an ADHD diagnosis or even for poor concentration, but also has a reputation as a “Hollywood drug”.

Wolfe played at the University of Cincinnati from 2008 to 2011 before being selected by the Broncos in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Wolfe spent eight seasons in Denver and last appeared in a one-year stint with the Baltimore Ravens in 2020.
