Denver Broncos: Melvin Gordon Announces Strong Broncos Running Backs.

Melvin Gordon of the Denver Broncos has announced that he and fellow running back Javonte Williams will have a strong 2022. In doing so, Gordon was full of praise for his young colleague.

Munich/Denver – The Denver Broncos have strengthened themselves with Russell Wilson this offseason, especially in the passing game.

But the Broncos’ running game won’t be underestimated either, at least that’s what running back Melvin Gordon announced.

Gordon announces: “Will freak out “

On Good Mordning Football, Gordon declared, “We’re going to freak out. We’ve got to snap”. That the 29-year-old is so confident is because of fellow sophomore Javonte Williams: “The kid has so much talent, I strongly expect our running game to be even better than last year.” Williams totaled 903 rushing yards in 2021, while Gordon amassed 918 rushing yards.

Williams in particular impressed as a rookie with 63 missed tackles; only MVP candidate and rushing leader Jonathan Taylor had more league-wide. “He’s just a phenomenal talent and will be a force in the league for years to come,” Gordon predicted.

For head coach Nathaniel Hackett, an explosive running back duo is nothing new, he had a similar tandem with Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon at the Green Bay Packers. “You can’t have enough good running backs,” Hackett said during a recent media roundtable.

Which of the two runners will get the most touches on the ball remains to be seen. After the first training sessions, however, Williams seems to have the edge.
