Josh Allen Believes in a Super Bowl Win with the Buffalo Bills — “We’ll Do Everything in Our Power to Make It Happen”

Josh Allen has been considered one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks for years. Nevertheless, the 30-year-old has yet to make it to the Super Bowl even once. A lot has happened with the Buffalo Bills this offseason—yet, or perhaps precisely because of that, he wants to finally make it to the championship game this season.

It was another disappointing season for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. After five years, the franchise had to relinquish first place in the AFC East to the New England Patriots—and in the playoffs, they lost by the narrowest of margins to the Denver Broncos (30–33) in the Divisional Round.

There have been several changes this offseason—in addition to new players, a new head coach will be on the sidelines for the first time since 2017: Back in January, the Bills parted ways with Sean McDermott and promoted offensive coordinator Joe Brady to head coach

On the NFL Network’s “The Insiders,” Allen commented on the changes: “We start training camp on July 28. That’s where the team really comes together. There are a lot of new faces—on offense, on defense, and on the coaching staff. A new stadium. A new head coach.“

He continued: ”So there’s a lot that’s new, and we’re looking forward to getting started, getting to know each other, and building team chemistry when we head to St. John Fisher in Rochester.”

The quarterback is convinced that it’s possible for his newly formed team to take the field at SoFi Stadium in California on February 14, 2027: “It’s another difficult task, but the goal remains the same: to bring the Lombardi Trophy to Western New York. And we’ll do everything in our power to achieve that.”

Buffalo Bills Sign Top Wide Receiver DJ Moore

The wide receiver position has been a major weakness recently. Since trading Stefon Diggs in 2024, Buffalo has lacked a top-tier player. Instead of signing one, the franchise relied on less proven players over the past two seasons.

The top receiver during that time was Khalil Shakir, who recorded 821 receiving yards in 2024 and 719 receiving yards in 2025. Those aren’t necessarily bad numbers—but as Josh Allen’s primary target, they weren’t enough.

The Bills have responded by bringing D.J. Moore to Buffalo during the offseason. The 28-year-old has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in four of his eight seasons and has accumulated a total of 8,213 receiving yards in the regular season.

“I think what D.J. will bring us is, of course, the leadership of a veteran. He’s been in the league just as long as I have and has played at such a high level over the past eight years,” Allen said of Moore.

He continued: “I’m just getting to know him—we’re locker-room mates—and thanks to the relationship we already have, it’s all coming together pretty seamlessly. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with him. He’ll be a huge help to us this coming season and in the seasons to come.”

Josh Allen is a big fan of his new quarterback coach

After his promotion, Joe Brady decided to fill the key assistant positions on his new offensive staff with people from outside the organization.

That’s exactly what Allen likes. The 30-year-old is particularly impressed with the new quarterback coach, Bo Hardegree.

“We spend a lot of time in meetings—that’s what the OTAs are for—going over the playbook again,” Allen said about his collaboration with Hardegree so far. “It may be the same playbook I’ve been working with for eight years, but this year there are a lot of new nuances. He brings a wealth of knowledge from his previous stints in the league.”

He continued: “He has a lot of experience, and it’s great to go over different concepts and defensive strategies—how he sees them and how he conveys them to us. He’s doing a great job with our team, and we’re lucky to have him.”

Hardegree has previously served in various coaching roles with the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, New England Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders, and Tennessee Titans.

Josh Allen Must Deliver

The upcoming season will reveal what the revamped Bills are capable of. But the truth is also that the pressure on Allen increases with every additional disappointing season.

30,000 passing yards in the regular season and 3,915 in the postseason are definitely impressive. In the 2024 season in particular, he impressed with 28 touchdowns and just six interceptions—and was named MVP for those performances.

But the fact is also that a Super Bowl victory is likely the ultimate career goal for any NFL player—especially for top players like Allen.

Prior to this season, the Bills had been eliminated by the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs in four of the last five years. Especially now, with the franchise coming off a weak season and uncertainty surrounding Patrick Mahomes’ return from his ACL tear, Allen and the Bills need to deliver.
