Buffalo Bills pros go O-lineman hunting: shove has violent consequences

Don’t mess with a Buffalo Bills player! Otherwise, you’ll be dealing with a lot of Buffalo Bills players. That was the experience of James Daniels, O-lineman for the Pittsburgh Steelers, in Week 5.

Munich – The Buffalo Bills made another statement and cemented their role as favourites once again with a 38-3 victory over a hopelessly outclassed Pittsburgh Steelers. Head coach Sean McDermott’s team did not only show itself as a unit during the plays.

Deep in the third quarter, various Bills players together clearly put Pittsburgh O-lineman James Daniels in his place. Why? Because Daniels shoved Damar Hamlin to the ground after Buffalo safety Kenny Pickett had violently attacked Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett at the end of a run.

About a dozen players in blue charged Daniels, shoving the colossus until he landed on the sideline in the middle of the Bills’ scrum. He stayed on his feet, but backed away and slipped back onto the field.

The refs agreed with the Bills players and penalized Daniel, and thus the Steelers, 15 yards of space loss for Unnecessary Roughness.

O-line mate Kevin Dotson was convicted of the same offence, but only one of the two penalties could be activated.
