Buffalo Bills in shock: Star defender Von Miller out for rest of season with torn ACL

The Buffalo Bills have to accept a big loss for the rest of the NFL season. Star defender Von Miller will be out for an extended period of time after undergoing surgery for a torn ACL.

Munich – The Buffalo Bills will be without star defensive end Von Miller for a long time. Head coach Sean McDermott announced on Wednesday that the two-time Super Bowl winner has torn his cruciate ligament and has already undergone surgery.

As a result, the 33-year-old will not only miss his Bills’ game on Sunday against the New York Jets, but also the rest of the current season.

The Bills had placed Miller (33) on the so-called Injured Reserve List last week due to a knee injury. The pass rusher had come to Buffalo from the defending champion Los Angeles Rams in March and signed a six-year contract with the New York State franchise.

Miller played most of his career for the Denver Broncos (2011-2021), and was named Super Bowl MVP in the 2016 title win.
