Buffalo Bills: Damar Hamlin 20 days after cardiac arrest in dressing room

What a comeback! Damar Hamlin visits his Buffalo Bills teammates in the locker room before their Divisional Round game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Just 20 days earlier, Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest – against the Bengals.

Buffalo – Damar Hamlin is back in the booth for his Buffalo Bills. The 24-year-old safety is far from being able to play football after suffering a cardiac arrest in the game against the Cincinnati Bengals on 2 January.

But before the two teams meet again, Hamlin visited his teammates in the dressing room on Sunday night.

The Bills posted a video of Hamlin, who wears sunglasses, being wheeled outside the team’s locker room in a cart and then entering the room. His family is also seen in the video inside Highmark Stadium.

A few minutes earlier, Hamlin tweeted an older video of himself in Bills football gear with the words “Game day…. 3pm” on Twitter.

Hamlin then watched the game with his family in a stadium box. From there he waved to Bills fans and greeted them with a heart symbol.

Visiting the booth 20 days after cardiac arrest

Hamlin’s heart stopped after a tackle in the regular-season game against the Bengals. After resuscitation efforts while still on the field, he had to be transported to the hospital, where he remained in critical condition for days. Hamlin was released from the hospital on 11 January. He made several visits to the Bills’ club site during the week.

Hamlin watched Buffalo’s victory in the Wild Card Round last Sunday from his home: “My heart goes out to my boys when they compete today. I’m supporting them from home as I continue to focus on my recovery. I want nothing more than to be out there with them,” tweeted the safety.
