Baltimore Ravens: Will Lamar Jackson soon earn more than Kyler Murray with the Cardinals?

Just before the start of the new NFL season, Lamar Jackson is still without a new contract. The Ravens reportedly offered the quarterback more than the Cardinals are paying Kyler Murray, according to a report.

Munich – Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens still have not been able to agree on a contract extension, despite the franchise reportedly offering the quarterback a big contract.

Jay Glazer of “Fox Sports” reported on Sunday night’s broadcast before the preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals that the Ravens have offered Lamar Jackson more money than the Cardinals are paying Kyler Murray. The latter signed a five-year contract a few weeks ago that pays him about $46.1 million per year.

The fully guaranteed contract given to Deshaun Watson by the Cleveland Browns is also said to complicate the negotiations between Baltimore and Jackson. The talks are said to be an “uphill battle”, especially as the 25-year-old represents himself.

Jackson, however, is said to be continuing to seek an extension, preferably before the start of the regular season. In week one, the Ravens face the New York Jets. Last season, the franchise missed the playoffs.
