Are the Houston Texans trading Deshaun Watson? Owner McNair wants to “wait and see”

Deshaun Watson has been facing serious allegations for months. The deadline for a possible trade to another team is approaching. Now the Houston Texans owner is speaking out.

Munich – Soon the time will come when the possible transfer window for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson closes. If the playmaker is not traded by November 2, he will remain in Houston until at least March 2022.

But is a trade of the signal caller even an option at this point?

Texans owner Cal McNair has now commented on the subject on “SportsTalk 790”. “We’ll just wait and see. It’s a day-to-day thing. Nick (general manager Nick Caserio, ed.) is responsible for that. We’ll see how it plays out,” the owner explained.

Dolphins as only Watson prospect

Reports indicate the Miami Dolphins are considered the primary, if not sole, negotiator. While the Texans have reportedly softened their stance in recent days, their trade demands are still considered the biggest obstacle.

Watson has been facing serious allegations for several months. More than 20 massage therapists accuse him of sexual assault. Police in Texas have opened criminal investigations against the playmaker. The extent to which charges will be brought is currently unclear.
