After Corona offence: Denver Broncos punish their quarterbacks

Drew Lock, Brett Rypien, Blake Bortles and Jeff Driskel have violated the Corona Protocol at the Denver Broncos. The NFL team is now imposing a fine. A penalty from the league is still pending.

The Denver Broncos have drawn internal consequences after the corona scandal about their quarterbacks. As coach Vic Fangio announced, the four playmakers Drew Lock, Brett Rypien, Blake Bortles and Jeff Driskel were fined an undisclosed amount.

“We fined them according to the same fine schedule that we used for other COVID violations throughout the season,” Fangio explained.

Driskel tested positive for the corona virus last Thursday. His three quarterback colleagues had close contact with Driskel in a joint video conference and did not wear masks. Due to the violation of the corona protocol, all of them were put on the COVID-19 list.

In the game against the New Orleans Saints, therefore, a wide receiver in Kendall Hinton had to play in the position of the quarterback. The Broncos were accordingly without a chance and lost 3:31.

A penalty from the NFL is still pending. A substantial fine and a possible loss of a draft pick are pending.
