Heated tempers before the AFC Championship Game between the Ravens and Chiefs. During warm-ups between the two teams, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce in particular clash with Justin Tucker
Ahead of the AFC Championship Game between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs, several players have clashed.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Ravens kicker Justin Tucker started the altercation while the two were warming up on the same side of the field.
The reason for the altercation: Tucker’s kicking holder, which apparently disturbed Mahomes during warm-ups.
Video from NFL Network reporter James Palmer shows Mahomes, visibly annoyed, kicking the holder away, Tucker putting it back down and the quarterback throwing it aside again.

Shortly afterwards, Travis Kelce also intervenes. To make room for his quarterback, he throws Tucker’s balls, holster and helmet aside. The kicker seems to take the situation with humor.

Kickers usually warm up on both sides of the field to familiarize themselves with the different wind and field conditions. It’s not clear from the videos whether Tucker or Mahomes was in the spot first.
If Tucker’s goal was to get under the skin of Mahomes & Co, the tactic seems to have worked.
Emotions were also running high among other players. There was a shoving match in the middle of the pitch. Everything points to a heated championship game
It’s getting chippy during pregame between the Chiefs and Ravens..
