Travis Kelce is going on the title hunt with the Kansas City Chiefs for another two years. The reigning Super Bowl champions make the 34-year-old the highest-paid tight end in the NFL

After defensive tackle Chris Jones signed a five-year, 158.75 million dollar mega-contract in the offseason, head coach Andy Reid recently signed a long-term extension as well. And that’s not all.

As NFL insider Ian Rapoport initially reported and the franchise confirmed shortly afterwards, the Chiefs have also agreed a two-year contract extension with tight end Travis Kelce.

According to “Spotrac”, the 34-year-old will receive 34.25 million dollars during this period, making him the highest-paid tight end in the league.

Mahomes reacts to new Kelce contract

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes immediately responded to the news on “X” (formerly Twitter), “I told you I’d never let him go! Congrats buddy!”

In 2023, Kelce played 15 regular-season games for Kansas Ciry, catching 93 passes for 984 yards and scoring five touchdowns. Kelce then stepped it up in the playoffs, recording 32 passes caught for 355 yards and three touchdowns in four postseason games en route to his third Super Bowl win in the last five seasons.
