Payday for Christian Barmore! The New England Patriots defensive tackle gets a mega-contract
The New England Patriots are keeping a cornerstone of their defense long-term.
As player agent Nicole Lynn told “ESPN”, defensive tackle Christian Barmore will receive a four-year contract worth 92 million dollars, of which 41.8 million dollars are guaranteed.
Barmore was drafted in the second round in 2021 and was on the field for 66 percent of defensive snaps in 2023.
The 24-year-old recorded 8.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss and 16 quarterback hits. He also defended six passes and forced a fumble.
Patriots: Barmore gets biggest contract away from Tom Brady
Barmore originally entered the final year of his rookie contract in 2024 and was set to earn a base salary of 1.82 million dollars.
As “EPSN” further reports, Barmore’s new contract is the largest contract in Patriots franchise history not signed by quarterback legend Tom Brady
