NFL – Detroit Lions with new look: No desire for leaks

The Detroit Lions give fans an exclusive look at the new jerseys. The fear of leaks is going around in advance

The Detroit Lions are paying fans back for the recent price hike. At least a little.

As the “Detroit News” reports, season ticket holders have been contacted by the franchise. They received an invitation to attend the official unveiling of the new jerseys. The event will take place on April 18 at Ford Field.

With the invitation, season ticket holders can purchase two tickets for ten dollars each, which will then be credited towards food and drinks at the event. The Lions know how to monetize their current sporting success.

After the unveiling, supporters, many of whom recently had to accept a significant season ticket price increase for the new season, will be able to buy the new jerseys.

For the Lions around German-American wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, it is the first change of look in six years.

New Lions jersey: President “very happy” with the look

“I think everyone will be pleased with it,” said Lions President Rod Wood: “I don’t want to give too much away, but I’m very happy with how it turned out.” They’ve worked with equipment supplier Nike and the league, he said, “and I think the fans are going to be excited about it.”

However, the Lions have no desire for any leaks, which the Houston Texans, for example, recently had to comment on or confirm.

That’s because some of the team’s top players have already seen the jerseys as they took part in a multimedia shoot that will complement the public unveiling. The participants’ electronic devices were excluded from the shoot.

What can fans expect? Wood didn’t reveal much in advance, but it doesn’t sound like a jersey revolution.

“They’re keeping our traditional colors, with a little update and change,” Wood said, “And it gives us a lot more options, too. We’ll be introducing a few different pants options that can be paired with the jerseys, so we’ll have different options throughout the season. “
