NFL: Tom Brady apparently burst into tears in front of teammates

To this day, “Deflategate” remains a dark spot in Tom Brady’s career. A former teammate now reports how distraught the superstar was after the allegations came to light

Shortly before the Super Bowl in February 2015, Tom Brady’s legendary status took a knock.

In the wake of the “Deflategate” scandal, Brady was accused of instructing the Indianapolis Colts to deflate the game ball in the AFC Championship Game of the same year in order to gain an advantage.

Following an investigation, the NFL later found Brady guilty and he was suspended for four games. The Patriots were also penalized. The franchise had to pay a million dollar fine and lost two picks in the 2016 draft.

Now Brady’s then-teammate Darrelle Revis has revealed how the now-recognized “GOAT” quarterback faced his team after the allegations came to light.

“When Deflategate happened and Tom was the headline of the whole situation, he reached out to us as a team,” Revis said on a recent episode of the Apple series ‘The Dynasty: New England Patriots’.

“You could tell he was distraught,” the Hall of Famer said, referring to Brady, adding, “He was actually bawling his eyes out in front of us.” Longtime wide receiver Danny Amendola reported that Brady’s children were bullied at school because of the allegations.

However, the issue had no effect on the outcome of the Super Bowl. The Patriots won 28-24 in Arizona against the Seattle Seahawks thanks to Malcolm Butler’s late interception.
