New York Giants kicker Aldrick Rosas was arrested on Monday in Chico, California, according to “TMZ Sports”. The 25-year-old is said to have first run a red light, then hit another vehicle at an intersection and committed a hit-and-run. Rosas was probably under the influence of alcohol
The accident occurred on Monday morning at about 8:25 am local time. After the collision, in which the other road user’s car was severely damaged, Rosas did not stop, but is said to have continued driving with his SUV. A few streets further on, the kicker then broke down with his vehicle and is said to have escaped on foot, as the police explained.
Rosas was stopped by police a few streets away shortly after the accident, his body was said to have been covered with blood, “TMZ Sports” refers to police statements.
After his arrest, Rosas was transferred to Butte County Jail. According to the police, the kicker not only drove with an invalid driver’s license, but was also under the influence of alcohol.
Rosas has been playing for the New York Giants since 2017 and was voted into the Pro Bowl in 2018. So far he has converted 62 of 75 field goals for the four-time Super Bowl winners.
