The Philadelphia Eagles coaching staff is prepared for any eventuality in the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers. Coach Nick Sirianni expects a “very tough game. “
The Philadelphia Eagles are leaving no contingency unaddressed as they prepare for the NFC Championship Game.
At the press conference before the game against the San Francisco 49ers, Head Coach Nick Sirianni let it slip that overtime also plays a role in their thoughts.
The coach said that he and his coaching staff have already come up with one or two scenarios should his team win the coin toss in a possible overtime.
However, the head coach did not reveal what the coaches had agreed on.
Sirianni was also reluctant to make a clear commitment with regard to the start of the game. “Is that so?” he posed the question when it was pointed out that he had always opted for possession in the second half when the coin toss had been successful.
Nick Sirianni expects “very tough game “
For Sunday’s game against the 49ers, he sees a “very tough game mentally and physically. That’s our default. Even to my kids, I always say have fun, play hard, play physical but play fair.”
The coach definitely sees a rivalry for a longer time in the duel with San Francisco, even if he doesn’t give it much thought.
“Right now, I’m focused on Sunday. Whether that’s the case, I’ll leave it up to you,” Sirianni addressed reporters, but then elaborated a bit: “When I look at the offensive and defensive lines, both teams are set up well for the future. “
