New York Giants player pulled to safety in deadly mall shooting

A 19-year-old young man has died in a fatal shooting at the Mall of America in Minnesota. At the time of the crime, numerous players from the New York Giants, who will face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16, were also in the mall. They were forced to remain there for an hour before being pulled to safety.

The Giants play the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday (12/24) at 7pm, and the team hotel is right next to the mall. The players who were on site had to hold out for an hour before the police gave the all-clear. Videos of shoppers hiding in shops circulated on social media.

According to Pelissero, General Manager Joe Schoen received regular updates from his security team on the status of the players on the ground. No injuries are known at this time, and the Giants have not yet commented on social media or beyond.
