The Cleveland Browns show a dominating performance in all team parts against the previously favoured Cincinnati Bengals and win by 19 points. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has a difficult day, while Browns running back Nick Chubb leads his team to victory.

Munich/Cleveland – The Cleveland Browns beat the overmatched Cincinnati Bengals 32-13 in front of their home crowd in the divisional duel of the AFC North. Especially the Browns defence around superstar Myles Garrett made it difficult for Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.

While Garrett has now sacked Burrow 5.5 times in his career, more than any other NFL player, the Bengals QB remains winless against the Browns.

Bengals without star receiver Ja’Marr Chase

The absence of Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase was especially noticeable in the first half of the game. Burrow’s favorite pass receiver injured his hip and will miss the team indefinitely.

The Browns’ defense took advantage, holding the Bengals to just 229 total yards and only 100 yards in the first half. The Bengals did not score a point in the first three quarters. The Bengals offensive line couldn’t buy quarterback Burrow enough time, bringing the 25-year-old down 5.5 times.

Offensively, Head Coach Kevin Stefanski’s team took a while. So the scoring didn’t start until after the first quarter. The Browns brought a 25-0 advantage into the last quarter of the game through a strong Jacoby Brissett (278 passing yards, one touchdown pass and one touchdown run), as well as the always shining running back Nick Chubb (101 rushing yards, two touchdowns).

The Bengals could not catch up, even though receivers Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd each caught a touchdown. A furious Amari Cooper (131 yards, one touchdown catch) gave the Browns the final score of 32-13.

It was an important win for the Cleveland team, which is now 3-5 in third place in the AFC North after four straight losses and gets to bounce back in a bye week next week. The Bengals are now 4-4 and second in the AFC North.
