Köln (SID) – Footballer Amon-Ra St. Brown has shone again for the Detroit Lions in the US professional league NFL and set an old club record. The German-American scored a touchdown for the sixth consecutive game this season, equalling Leon Hart (1951) and Herman Moore (1994). Next week, the wide receiver will be the sole leader.
St. Brown scored two touchdowns in the 36-27 win over the Washington Commanders. The pass catcher made it 11-0 with a 13-yard catch in the first quarter, and in the final phase the 22-year-old caught a ball from eleven yards out to make it 35-21. Last season St. Brown scored two touchdowns in one game as a rookie.
The Lions celebrated their first win of the new season after the opening defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles (35:38). After taking a 22-0 lead, the hosts had to shake again.
