More than a fortnight ago, an arrest warrant is issued for ex-NFL star Earl Thomas. Now, the longtime Seattle Seahawks safety has been arrested by police
Munich – More than two weeks after an arrest warrant was issued for Earl Thomas, the former NFL star has been arrested by police in Texas – this is reported by the TV station “WFAA” based there. According to the report, the 33-year-old was recognised while visiting a restaurant and was taken away by the Orange Police Department.
The arrest warrant was issued on 27 April. It is not yet known why it took so long for the athlete to finally be arrested by the police.
The long-time Seahawks star is said to have disobeyed a protection order several times. For example, he allegedly sent death threats to his still-wife, who is also the mother of his three children.
Earl Thomas allegedly threatened wife with death
US reports say he wrote to her that he had obtained two guns and was waiting for her. He also wrote that he hoped “she and the children would have a traffic accident and that his mother and cousin would poison them.”
Thomas’ wife had already testified to police that she believed Safety was suffering from a degenerative brain disease after suffering countless concussions.
Just a few weeks ago, the former member of the “Legion of Boom” had announced his NFL comeback. Nothing will come of it for the time being.
