Munich – The Seattle Seahawks roster is not exactly brimming with talent at the quarterback position right now. Still, head coach Pete Carroll’s team opted against taking a new signal caller in the 2022 NFL Draft – even though youngsters like Malik Willis sailed down the draft board.

Addressing Willis, general manager John Schneider told “ESPN”, “It’s tough for rookies to compete for a starting spot here. These players have to bring unique qualities. Then in the draft, it just didn’t pan out.”

According to “ESPN”, the Seahawks also reportedly did not consider Willis “NFL ready”. Instead, the Tennessee Titans secured the signal caller with the 86th pick.

The ‘Hawks had four picks before the 86th pick and chose Charles Cross, Kenneth Walker, Boye Mafe and Abraham Lucas.
