The head coach of the Los Angeles Rams, Sean McVay, will remain with the Super Bowl winners next season. He’s not interested in a possible 100 million offer for a job as a TV pundit.
Munich – He will stay with the Los Angeles Rams.
On Friday, the “New York Post” reported, citing sources, that Rams head coach Sean McVay will meet with “Amazon” next week and that the corporation may be willing to offer the Rams head coach a five-year, $100 million expert contract.
Background: “Amazon” will broadcast all Thursday Night Games exclusively on Prime Video from the start of the coming season.
McVay has now denied a TV commitment, however, saying he is not seeking any television deals. Instead, he wants to help the L.A. franchise defend its Super Bowl title. He told “ESPN” pundit Adam Schefter.
McVay won’t be a TV pundit
In the days following the Super Bowl, the 36-year-old had talked about a better work-life balance.
“I know I love football and I’m so involved in this that I’m all about it right now. But there comes a point when you would also say: What do you want to be able to do? I want to have a family and be able to spend time with them,” he told reporters.
He had also sparked further speculation about a departure when, just one day after triumphing in the final, he responded to the question of whether he would return in 2022 with “We’ll see”.
