Adrian Peterson: Arrest for domestic violence

Trouble for NFL legend Adrian Peterson: The running back has been arrested for domestic violence after an argument with his wife on a plane.

Munich – Adrian Peterson is in trouble with the police again. The NFL legend has been arrested for domestic violence, TMZ reports.

According to the report, there was a heated argument with his wife Ashley on a plane at Los Angeles International Airport.

The plane had just left the gate and immediately returned so Peterson could be removed from the plane. Peterson was in LA with his wife for an event leading up to Super Bowl 56. Incidentally, she made the return flight as scheduled.

“A private misunderstanding “

“This is a private misunderstanding between husband and wife, and we expect the matter to be resolved shortly,” TMZ quotes a rep for the NFL star as saying.

This is not the first time Peterson has been in trouble for domestic violence. A few years ago, he was charged with abusing his son. He was suspended for a year by the NFL. In 2018, he had admitted in an interview that he beats his children.

In sporting terms, the 36-year-old now plays only a minor role.

He appeared in 184 games in the NFL, played for the Minnesota Vikings, the New Orleans Saints, the Arizona Cardinals, the Washington Football Team, the Detroit Lions, as well as in 2021 for the Tennessee Titans and the Seattle Seahawks.

He scored 120 rushing touchdowns and ranks fifth on the list of players with the most rushing yards in NFL history with 14,918 yards. AP rushed for 2,097 yards for the Vikings in 2012 and is one of four running backs to break that mark of 2,000 yards in a season.

Adrian Peterson to continue career

However, Peterson isn’t thinking about ending his career just yet, even though he only made four total appearances in 2021 and finished the season on the Injured Reserve list. “I can’t end my career like this. That’s why I’m going into the offseason with the mindset that I’m going to keep playing. I still love the game,” he said a few weeks ago.

He also added: “I think I can still play at a high level, also because I’m a lot further mentally than I was last year. “
