Richard Sherman will not be available for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the playoffs against the Philadelphia Eaglesand in later rounds. His body is no longer cooperating. NFL insiders speculate about his career ending.

Munich – Bad news for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Richard Sherman. The cornerback was placed on the Injured Reserve list for the second time this season. Shortly after, Sherman might have announced his career end.

Sherman was signed by the Buccaneers in late September after several starters in the Bucs’ backfield went down. However, Sherman quickly injured himself and was only able to play in three games this season. In mid-November, the reigning Super Bowl champion placed him on the IR list for the first time, due to a calf injury.

Following more leg ailments, he was now listed on the Injured Reserve list again just before the start of the playoffs. Shortly afterwards, the 36-year-old possibly announced his career end on Twitter: “It didn’t go the way I wanted it to. I am grateful for the chance to play again. My body gave everything it had.”

Nevertheless, Sherman will remain with the Buccaneers. As he announced in his Twitter statement, he will join the Bucs’ coaching staff and pursue a new path.

Sherman would finish his NFL career with a Super Bowl title, which he won with the Seattle Seahawks in 2014, 41 interceptions and a Hall-of-Fame career
