NFL: Kyler Murray Reportedly Facing Problems in Minnesota Vikings Practice

Kyler Murray missed many games last season due to injury and has joined the Minnesota Vikings for the upcoming season. He is now reportedly facing new challenges there.

Kyler Murray left the Arizona Cardinals for the Minnesota Vikings during the offseason. This is his first team move since being selected by the Cardinals as the first overall pick in the 2019 draft.

Injuries repeatedly prevented the talented quarterback from truly breaking out and becoming the franchise quarterback the Cardinals had hoped for. Last season, the 28-year-old made just five appearances.

That was supposed to change with a “change of scenery.” Murray was finally expected to reach his full potential in the NFL. But now it seems there are problems again.

Kyler Murray is reportedly being given time

As “The Athletic” now reports, the quarterback has repeatedly appeared overwhelmed in practice by the plays called by head coach Kevin O’Connell’s franchise.

The so-called “playbook” reportedly hasn’t been adapted to Murray yet. Instead, the team is counting on the quarterback to get used to the new situation and find his rhythm.

Last season, J.J. McCarthy was the starter for the Vikings and failed to fully impress. It’s unlikely they signed a star like Murray just to bench him.

Therefore, experts expect that the two-time Pro Bowler will be given more time to adjust and will be preferred over the 2024 first-round pick.
